Do Over Project is a home and community-based service provider. We understand how trauma can often leave a person feeling lost, troubled, or broken. That's why our priority is serving with the highest level of integrity and respect.
Experienced and licensed mental health professionals develop our well-designed programs per the Division of Mental Health and Addictions. With more than 50 years of combined experience, our experts have served hundreds of families in Indiana.
Do Over Project opened the Living Wellness Respite Retreat in 2020 to provide temporary relief for primary caregivers - allowing families to relax and rejuvenate while taking a break from the demands of caregiving.
Children's Mental Health Wraparound (CMHW) program is designed to respond to the needs of youth with complex needs.
The Living Wellness respite house offers a safe and nurturing environment for children with mental health conditions to engage in activities that promote wellness and personal development.
At Living Wellness Respite Retreat, we help troubled youth imagine a world of new possibilities while discovering their purpose in life. We are committed to fostering an environment of respect, structure, learning, and relaxation as we support youth working through traumas.
Do Over Project is dedicated to promoting mental wellness education and enhancing the participant’s functioning and quality of life and the family’s strengths, resilience, and positive outcomes. We engage individuals to work through the trauma that can leave them feeling lost, troubled, or broken and invite them to exchange their fears and failures for self-confidence and success.
Children are ingrained in families, who are, in turn, planted in communities. Our vision is to see families restored and lives changed. We lay the foundation for children’s long-term development through collective impact strategies. Establishing Mentally Healthy Caregivers; with Mentally Healthy Children; In Healthy Communities.
We serve youth and families with the highest integrity and respect by providing home-based solutions and respite designed to reduce stress and promote family stability. We collaborate with providers to keep youth, families, and communities at the heart of what we do.
Kenya Patterson is the CEO/Founder of Do Over Project and Living Wellness Respite Retreat. She was born and raised in South Bend, Indiana. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis and a Master of Science in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University.
As a trained and certified mental health professional, Kenya has dedicated more than two decades to providing support services for families and youth with Serious Emotional Disturbances (SED). Patterson is a life coach and subject matter expert in mental health and parenting skills and is a certified CSAYP.
In 2018, Kenya opened Do Over Project, a certified mental health service provider. She leads a team of behavioral health professionals that render impactful Habilitation, Family Support Training, Respite, and Home and Community Based solutions for individuals and families throughout Indiana. To serve more children, she and Shana Whiting opened Living Wellness Respite Retreat, a licensed home-based respite facility, to provide short-term relief for primary caregivers.
When not traveling, Kenya enjoys spending time with her husband, grandson, and four adult children, serving in ministry, dancing/fitness, and enjoying live music. She credits her humorous, bubbly, and cheerful nature as attributes from God. Her optimistic disposition is based on the belief that no one is ever too lost to be saved and that you have a purpose if you have breath. By encouraging others to exchange their fears and failures for self-confidence and success, Kenya has created a platform for others to experience a do-over.
